Obituary of Mary J. Insalaco

Irondequoit: March 15, 2024, at age 98. Predeceased by her husband Samuel, her son Frank Sr., Grandsons,  Frank Jr. & Michael W. Coyle, and Great-granddaughter, Olivia. Survived by her sons, James (Carolyn) & Samuel (Martha); Daughter, Carol (James) Britz; Daughter-in-law Diane; Grandchildren Andrea (Jeff), Laurinda, Kristin, Megin, Stephanie (Dave), Adam (Amanda), Marisa & Daniella; Great-grandchildren Jaye, Phillip, Sara, Frankie, Georgia, Fiona, Zach, Alec, Archer, Anderson, Calvin, Jack, Brandon, Santino, Eliana great-great-grandchildren Andrew, Scout, Evelina, Harrison, Raelynn, Lyla, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her dear friend Roger Dykes.

Mary was a great wife, mother, Nana, Grandma Mary, Grand Mother,  Gram,  Mary Nana and  Nana Walker. She loved to spend time with her family, make delicious meals, bake and make her Christmas spingi’s and fudge. Mary loved tending to her gardens especially her roses. Since living at St Ann’s Mary rediscovered her artistic talent.  She has painted, done ceramics and made beaded bracelets to match her outfits and give to those she loved. Mary loved playing BINGO. She taught us to be strong and resilient. She will be sadly missed each and every day.

No prior calling hours. Please join the family Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 12 Noon at St. Ann’s Chapel (1500 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY 14621) for the celebration of her Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Ann’s Foundation , Life Enrichment Program for the Wegman Care Center, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester NY 14621 in Mary’s memory. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
